This six storey light installation is in the Crown Sydney building, it has of over 350,000 individually addressable LEDs in custom brass stips fronted with Czech crystal diffusers. Designed as a dynamic architectural centrepiece, the display animates the full height of the staircase with synchronised light and sound.
I worked with Dutch studio Mr. Beam and Australian lighting specialists FPOV, to bring the project to life in time for the buildings opening opening; instantiating the playback synchronisation, server and mapping the content to the physical structure. The system is controlled with the building automation system, and the installation is a popular photo spot.
