Play Curaçao is an experimental art film by Dutch visual artists Kasper Jacobs and Frank Koolen, created during their residency at the Instituto Buena Bista (IBB) in Curaçao. The project blends documentary, performance, and visual art, capturing a playful and layered portrait of the island while reflecting on cultural context and artistic process.
As part of the production team, I worked as post-production coordinator, sound designer, and colour grader. I oversaw the full post-production workflow, designing a sonic environment that matched the vibrant and unpredictable tone of the film, and grading the footage.
The film was developed in collaboration with IBB Curaçao, A.P.E (Art Era Projects) in Rotterdam, and supported by the Mondriaan Fund and the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts. It has been presented in a variety of contexts including screenings, performances, lectures, and exhibitions.
